JP/VTac forend

Another poster here started a thread on this subject but I guess he decided against it and deleted it...so I'll ask it:

Regarding using the JP/VTac style forend - why don't you see more of them out there? Is there a problem with them?

I like the JP handguard in some applications. I have one on a 21" build and it has served me well so far. With that said i have their midlength handguard on aother upper as well and dont really like it on that rifle. I am in the process of deciding what to put in its place.

One issue is the rails are expensive. So if you want any full length rails your really better off looking into other options.

Do you have a length and application preferance to give us some more details?
