I'm in search of a 30mm mount that will sit extremely low with the smallest footprint? In other words, cross bolt through one 1913 section and short in length to clear a MFI MP5 low mount. QD is not a necessity.

I'll be mounting an Aimpoint ACO to the MP5 for the larger FOV instead of the Micro H1.

A trijicon MRO would give you a wider field of view and it comes with a extremely low mount already.

MRO + factory low mount doesn't allow for cowitness irons. Plus I already have the ACO.

Take a look at the Weaver 30mm rifle scope rings. Low cost and simple.

I used a set of these to mount an Aimpoint 5000 and they're just barely high enough to clear the thicker portion of the housing on that model. May need to carefully measure on your ACO.

Look at the pictures on the MFI site. Your ACO won't cowitness with anything on that rail. I don't care if you duct tape it to the rail. Maybe an RMR buried in the MFI rail like they mount them on pistols but I wouldn't bet on it.

For some reason, MFI doesn't list their latest and great low profile mount.

It looks like this guy got it to work:

The bottom picture doesn't show the mount shown in the upper picture and it still doesn't work. You need to find a fake MP5 forum to ask your question and plead your case on.

I think you misunderstood, I'm not looking for absolute cowitness with the irons and optic mounted. More so want the ability to use irons still if optic goes down.

Here's the B&T 10266 mount similar to the MFI:

I don't have the Aimpoint ACO in my hands yet but I assume the LED emitter doesn't protrude from the 6:00?

You are the one who said "co witness" in post #3. I still think you are asking the wrong audience here.

In your post #3 you had an ACO. What happened to it? Did you loose it at the mall?

I certainly hope it's not loose running around at the mall.
Not lost yet, still enroute according to the latest USPS C2 message.

Weaver mount arrived in the mail today:

I like how the optic sits further back which allows me to see more through the sight. The brace is too high to obtain a proper sight picture. Irons co-witness at the very bottom edge of the ACO, much lower than 1/3. Will zero and confirm on the weekend.

Binden Aiming Concept.......focus on keeping both eyes open rather than looking thru the optic. Done properly you can shoot effectively with the front lens cap on ; )

I definitely don't have enough time behind the MP5 + dot setup but I am 99.9% sure the brace doesn't do it any justice. Since the cheek weld is so high up, an AR height mount would be better suited for this application. Stopping to take a breath, I really don't know why I pursued the ability to co-witness the irons so badly.

Oh well, I got the ACO pretty cheap so the H1 can go on the AR now.

Terrible picture showing the irons at the very bottom edge of the ACO.
