I shot my B-I-L's that is identical to the pictured SBR except for the muzzle device. He finally changed the stock model for the 4-piece.
If you always wanted a flame thrower that fired .30 cal. rounds... this is your solution. Awesome at night.

Wife’s great grandfather found this in a skeletons hand in about 1890 when he was herding sheep along the Oregon trail from Nebraska. Colt says it is an 1851 Navy made in 1854, but have no other records. Skeleton had a hole in its head, but all six rounds are still loaded.

For some reason I'm reminded of the stormtrooper blasters in Star Wars (which, yes, were Sterling SMG's)... true on the no-brace, but I think it's safe to assume a hostile ATF isn't gonna care whether it has a brace or not, just "long barrel, rifle caliber, SBR!" Remember, this is the bunch that ruled a SHOELACE to be a machine gun? (The view from boots-on-ground LE may be different from mine, but I grew up among the pencil-necked papershufflers of my town's Bureaucratic/Political Class and am fluent in REMFthink.)

Turnbull replaced the aluminum ERH and gripframe with steel parts, fitted the Belt Mtn locking base pin, did the gold inlay, and made the tiger maple grips based on a set of custom Bob Munden Gunfighter grips I provided from a Colt SA. Fitting, bluing, CCH, parts, perform a complete action job, including recut the forcing cone and do cylinder honing on both cylinders: $3,000 in 2007 dollars.

That gun is going on the auction block. My son was medically retired with 100% disability and needs to cash out the guns he's unable to shoot. I'm not sure what it will bring, but it's unlikely to cover the cost of making it, so you can't do a project like this as an investment.

I think you are right, and I'm afraid the cost of the Blackhawk is going to come in substantially below the total sum put into it. The flip side of things is that regardless of what it sells for, it will put money where is needed.

Funny you should ask, its brand new from Tulster. It has a lock to adjust and place the tension of the holster. Which is nice, because most kydex holsters are hit and miss, or you have to keep adjusting screws as they loosen up.
