DIdn't these used to say "safe" "fire" "auto"

Looks like they may have switched it to "safe" "semi" and not sure what the fun position now says, but assuming they left that as "auto"

Sorry if dupe...i searched, and didn't find anything else on this.

My guess is no.

Because they messed up so badly the first time on virtually every marking the rifle has, their choice to do so had to be intentional and they won't correct it. Has FN even ever responded to inquiries as to why they chose such stupid markings?

I mean CAL 5.56X45NATO??

Fools.

They originally were marked SAFE FIRE AUTO which is an incorrect marking for either model. In actuality, the FN M16A4 lowers should be marked SAFE SEMI BURST if they want them to look correct. The FN M4A1 would be marked SAFE SEMI AUTO. If they are now marked as such, they would be correct.
