I want to eek all the accuracy I can get out of my m16A4 clone. I was thinking of the MI rails. They are in my price range, non troy and supposedly lighter than the larue rails.... How tuff are the MI rails? Do they have issues with flex? Do i have to leave the handguard cap behind the FSB or can I just dump the cap? Thank you

Unless you're running a laser on your rail, why worry about flex? You've got a front sight base. That ain't gonna move if you torque the rail.

If he is talking about the MI#19 (GEN 2) Rifle Length 2 Piece it ain't gonna change anything. It's not free float. He needs to keep the cap or get some duct tape.

I was taking him at the face value of free floated.

If it's 2 piece drop in, I've used them on a midlength and had no problems. I only switched to get a longer rail to better suit my style.

I don't know what he wants and am not sure he does either.

I ran the 12" FSP and a 9" for awhile. I didn't notice any flex, but I didn't have lasers or front sights mounted to them.

Good handguard for the money.

Did you leave the gun with the FSB? did you have to leave the handguard cap?
