Hey guys. I've got a couple spare BCGs that I was looking at the other day. I appears there are spots where the sides of the carrier key don't even make contact with the fasteners.

Do you guys think these are sufficiently staked? 4287342874

Not sure about your BCG, but your cell phone takes crummy pictures and may need to be replaced... :)

Yeah, that's a GoPro. My cell phone takes even crummier pictures.

Find someone with a smart phone, learn to focus (tap on screen where you want to focus), get in bright light, avoid glare, and it will be crystal clear.

Yup, sorry, I can't make anything out of the images

Can you take the pics outside?

Come on, fellas. The pictures aren't that bad, just a little dark.

The staking appears to be in from the "side", and is impinging on the gas key screws. It looks fine.

The staking looks to npbe marginable. Pictures outside, or on a table by a window would make it easier

The first BCG looks good to me, the second is marginal but prob ok...full disclosure, I'm no professional, and that's just an opinion.

It's just odd because I've compared the bcgs in the pictures to others I have of the same manufacturers and they're completely different.

Some "manufacturers" are really just resellers.

Well, good pictures or not, if the staking doesn't make contact with the fasteners, just finish them yourself or seek out someone who can.

I mean seriously, doesn't everyone have Ned's MOACKS at this point? It's been out for a little while now.

If the metal touches the screw head, its good.

It is really that simple, why do people make such a big thing about it.

(You know, putting too much side pressure on the bolt head can induce cracks, and lead to early failure.)
