View Full Version : Slide work recommendations
I would like to have my 19 milled to accept an rmr. is any better or equal to say aeti?
Happy new year!
I just had one done by dp custom, nice work, rmr fits nice and tight quick turnaround it was about 3 weeks.
I went with L&M Precision. Had the RMR installed, front cocking serrations and a Tungsten cerakote. The slide looks great. The RMR sits low and is nice and snug. It was two years ago so I cant remember exactly how long the turn around was but I remember it wasnt that long.

Jagerwerks
they recently posted an announcement that due to rapid growth they'll be reconfiguring the first half of January and not taking orders. Just as a heads up.
Atei turn around was 6 weeks for Nov product.
ATEi / L&M precision seem to be the top two. Doug (ATEi) has some good videos and examples of what to look for in bad slide cuts and installs. Not everyone with a mill is a gunsmith and not every machinist is a gunsmith. I used ATEi and it was worth the wait, I want to say it was a month or two but I wasn't sweating it.

Highly recommend L & M. Mark did 3 block slides for me and all were flawless.
ATEi did my last 19 slide and L&M did my last 17 slide. You can't go wrong with either one. Also take a look at Boresight Solutions, Ben is doing some really good work and just posted a video of his RMR cut and it looks just as good as the work from ATEi. Boresight's frame work is phenomenal, so I would not hesitate to recommend him either.
Girl on phone at atei said they use self locking screws and when removing you would do a quick counter clockwise turn vs just turning slow as one normally would do. Can anyone elaborate on that?
