For any of you Jarheads out there who have access to one I have two questions:
1) What is the barrel diameter under the handguards?
2) It uses the 11" handguard (covers the gas block), not the 9" carbine one correct?

EDIT---Reason I ask is I am (probably more likely was) contemplating building a clone. Now it would be top-notch stuff: MR556 upper and send it to IGF for barrel re-profile and nitriding, SDO ACOG, Geissele trigger, extended 11" rail, E1 stock and grip, and Knight's BUIS. Unfortunately I'd be looking at around $6K, and that would be using an existing lower I might have engraved locally with some HK markings. Holy Shiite Batman! God, I'd like to but I'd probably have to spend that much on a divorce attorney next!!!
