I have some of the small pieces already and my big parts shipped today from Alexander Arms!

I have the 1.5-5 Leupold SPR sitting in the safe just waiting.

I went with a 16" stainless barrel. Decided to keep it simple and go with standard handguards.

I'll have to get some pics up when I get a chance

Barrel-16"Alexander Arms SS, standard A2 FH, may do a brake later
Upper AA flat top
Handguards- Cavarms fatties, may switch to tapered later
Armalite clamp gas block
BUIS's-More than likely GG&G set(not a hurry right now since not concerned with bambi assaulting me).
Optics-Leupold 1.5-5 SPR, currently in a Larue SPRE(they have been paired for some time)
Magpul MOE and Vltor clubfoot.
Went with FDE to tell it apart:eek:

And since it's intended for my son to hunt with, using a Stag lower with CMT LPK. (thought the logo would be fitting:cool:)

Sounds like a nice build, let us know how you like the Leupold! I've been looking at one for my 300/221 Fireball Noveske barrel.

Midlength gas system? I've been wanting to build a similar upper in 6.8 for hunting this next year.

Yes, midlength. We put it together over the weekend. It shoots great! I'll have to get some pics up soon.

She shoots great! I'm really stoked about having built this upper. I'll probably get an AA marked lower down the road-or just get a factory Middy Tactical from them.
