With all the polymer handguns on the market nowadays, the Steyr seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. They seem like decent guns, but I don't know anyone who owns one and they don't appear to be as well received as Glocks, M&P's, etc.

Just an also-ran in today's marketplace?

I have a M40-A1 and M9-A1. As long as I feed them quality ammo, they are happy and a joy to shoot. For some strange reason, the 9 really hates Canned Heat from Georgia Arms, which is a real bummer. I had several FTE while shooting around 10 mags worth at the range this week. I'm going to test the 40 this weekend.

Aside from being picky eaters (I've actually never had FTF/FTE on the 40), I have no complaints about them. The triggers are among the best I've felt on a poly gun, the sights are awesome once you get used to them, the grip size and angle fit my tiny hands well, and being engineered for the .40 S&W, they have very little muzzle flip compared to similar offerings from Glock. I'm sure Steyr Arms will help me out if I choose to have them trouble shoot my problem, they are reputed to have excellent customer service.

Best $740 I've ever paid for a pair of pistols. 339.99 from CDNN each, plus 10 shipping and my transfer fees. Of course since then, shipping has gone up to 20 flat.

Woah, that's kinda cool! If H&K made a modern, double stack, polymer version of the P7, that's what it would look like. I like that.
