I bought this Mystery Ranch 3dap a couple years ago to be my do-all pack: day-hikes, light overnighters, bug-out, range bag, etc. Well it can definitely do anything you want it to, and the futura harness system is great.
My only problem now is that I own too many backpacks and I have a handful of others that fill some of those roles (maybe not all at once).
I've done a few day hikes in this pack and left it loaded up in the closet full of gear. The only 'sign of wear' I can find is on the inside just above the molle panel there's a light scratch looking mark (going horizontally). It has no texture, and doesn't rub out with light water and a rag. I honestly have no idea what would have caused this.
The pack also has the transporter tail attached to it (removable) that I bought at the same time and then they promptly discontinued it. A really nice feature for being able to stowe a helmet, or a piece of bulky gear. Also tones down the military look of the pack a bit.

On Mystery Ranch's site it appears they're only making the BVS version of the 3dap which is a bit bulky for non-armor uses. They're selling through old stock of the regular 3dap.

Looking to sell mine with transporter tail for $250 shipped conus. +3% for Paypal. PM or email is best.
