I have a nice 10/22 that I am adding a Vortex strike eagle scope to and need a mount. I would like a one-piece quick release rail mount but with no offset. I’m not cheap, but also don’t want to spend $200. What would you use?

What do you mean no offset? Do you expect it to return to zero?

I have no idea why you are determined to put that scope on a 10/22. I also don't understand what you mean by "no offset". I will tell you this... 99% of one piece QD mounts are made for AR platform rifles and the ring center will be 1.5" above the flat on the rail. I assume you either have really fat cheeks or a really high comb if using it on a rail atop a 10/22. Why do you want QD anyway?

This might be what you had in mind.

Sorry, I guess I used the wrong term.. I don't want it to me mounted too forward. I understood that was called offset.

Yes, the typical ar mount it would be too high. The American defense mount wigbones suggested takes care of the eye relief but it does look pretty high.

The qd mount isn't totally necessary, but would be a nice feature.

As far as why I want to use this scope... I wish I had a good reason. Pretty much just because.

You meant cantilever not offset. The mount extends forward beyond the receiver.

If you don't find a 1-piece these should suffice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic1Bj7cEcMI http://warnescopemounts.com/product-category/rings/quick-detach/

The term "offset" you used applies to the distance forward a cantilever mount will position the scope. You don't have a bunch of rail length on the 10/22 therefore you might want to reconsider a 2" cantilever offset. Or something like this might work for you. Cheap but a 10/22 doesn't require much. Make sure it's compatible with the Vortex, read the positive/negative reviews and march on. Scopes are fun and handy on 10/22s. When you decide on one, make sure you use the Vortex specs for scope to mount torque values. Most ring/mount specs are general where the scope manufacturer specs apply to the individual scope. Internal damage to the scope can occur if over tightened. It's not a real common problem but does happen now and then. If you don't have a torque wrench (inch/pounds) just use common sense and tighten in a criss-cross pattern with the minimum pressure required to hold the scope firmly. https://www.amazon.com/Offset-Piece-Scope-Release-Picatinny/dp/B006MYCIOE/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

I like my Burris AR-P.E.P.R. QD 30mm Scope Mount, holds the zero every time I remove and put it back on. Mine holds a Nikon P-233, I switch between this and and Aimpoint PRO.
