Hello,
I have finally gotten the equipment together and with any luck will be reloading very soon.

One issue I am having with the assembly of my Hornady L-N-L Powder measure is I don't know what to do with this thing:

I assume it's supposed to go in the powder tube but don't know how it should be oriented or what its purpose is:

It's your powder baffle. It goes in the tube, point up. This keeps the powder charges consistent regardless of how full the hopper is.

Thanks very much. Pointed up, line in picture "A"?

I polished mine to help the powder fall better. Dremel tool 4tw.

Best advice I ever got from an old reloader. Degrease the piss out of the whole assembly and then get some powder graphite and dump it in there and shake it all around. Run it through the whole thing then dump it out. It'll coat everything and get rid of static and flow issues. Trust me.

+1 on Pork Chop's suggestion.

A modification I made to mine was to braze a section of coat hanger to the top of the V in the center in order to easily remove it when changing powder to ensure that all previous powder is gone. I brazed on a section just long enough that the end is just below the top of the tube.
