I just picked up a used Colt WW2 repro. I can not believe the fit of this pistol. I picked up a NRM 70 for a build base a little while back and it felt like I was holding a straight razor from the wrong end. This WW2 repro is smooth as silk. The original owner put on some Yost retro sights and an Millet front. Luckily, he included two full sets of original sights incase I wanted to change it back. But, I must say I do like the sight picture.

I will get some ammo from our range guys next week and post a feed review. (also know as a George should stick to rifles accuracy report):)

Just thought I'd share

I picked it up to use as a base for a Dave Berryhill style old MEU SOC build. Here are some shots of one of his builds that I am using for a reference.

(This is not mine...some of you may recognize the photos from another site T.F. If posting these is in bad form please let me know)

Nice looking set up on your WWII, the YoBo rear looks great and I would keep it for your build. I just did a build with John Harrison on a WWI and used the YoBo with a gold bead front.

Very nice. It should make a perfect base g un; however, it would be hard for me to add forward cocking serations to that beauty if it were mine. Let us know how she shoots.

I am always on the look out for a LNIB WWII Repro.

I'd be very tempted to leave those sights on it and run it as is.

Polymer and composites have certainly earned their place in the world ...

... but there is something about steel and wood that will always speak to me.

Old School, indeed.

It looks like this one has inspired a lot of WWI and WWII Repro Custom Incarnations over the past year.

I am surprised John got talked into that build. The front strap is far from retro along with the magwell. I wonder if he was trying to match the MSH....... He also didn't bob the hammer as I would have expected.

Thank you for the complements. I am excited about the future build with that one.

Rana, that is a very nice looking pistol as well. What is the finish on it?
