Middlebury College Professor Allison Stanger was injured by protesters Thursday evening as she was escorting a controversial speaker from campus. She was treated at Porter Hospital and released. …

As Stanger, [Charles] Murray and a college administrator left McCullough Student Center last evening following [Murray’s speech] they were “physically and violently confronted by a group of protestors,” according to Bill Burger, the college’s vice president for communications and marketing.
Murray is of course known for having co-written “The Bell Curve,” which argued, among other things, that there are biological differences in intelligence between various racial groups (though that was apparently not the topic of his speech at Middlebury).

Some of Murray’s views are indeed odious. Twenty-three years ago, he co-authored The Bell Curve, which argued that differences in intelligence account for much of the class stratification in American life, that intelligence is partly genetic, and that there may be genetic differences between races. Critics called Murray’s argument intellectually shoddy, racist and dangerous, and I agree. (Before I began working there full-time, my old magazine, The New Republic, published an excerpt of the book, along with rebuttals, and thus gave it a legitimacy it did not deserve).
Yet on the American right, these views are all mainstream. If conservative students can’t bring Charles Murray to Middlebury, how can they bring Ted Cruz, Newt Gingrich or Clarence Thomas? (Indeed, Yiannopoulos and Murray aren’t the only right-leaning speakers who have sparked mass student protest in recent years. So have Condoleezza Rice and International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde).
Somehow, they found out. Because when Murray and Stanger finished their dialogue, they found themselves surrounded by protesters. The protesters—some of whom were wearing masks and may not have been Middlebury students—began pushing them. When Stanger tried to shield Murray, according a Middlebury spokesman, a protester grabbed her hair and twisted her neck.
Murray, Stanger and their escorts made it to a waiting car, but the protesters “pounded on it, rocked it back and forth, and jumped onto the hood,” according to The New York Times. One took a large traffic sign, attached to a concrete base, and placed it in front of the car to prevent it from leaving.
Finally, Murray and Stanger got away. They had planned to eat dinner at a local restaurant, but, upon learning that the protesters planned to disrupt their meal, left town altogether. Stanger later went to the hospital, where she received a neck brace.

Ahhhhh the Progressive Socialists have finally become the Nazi's they have warned us about.
I wasn't aware that the "right" believe what I bolded earlier in the above article. It would appear to be more in line with a famous fan of Eugenics, Margret Sanger I believe.
It would actually appear to me the Right, even the far Right have become far more tolerant than the Left.. I just haven't seen the Right violently oppose someone's right to freedom of speech or advocate violence and property damage to make their point.
The Brown shirts now appear to be wearing neck beards and man buns...

The Left has long viewed humans as stock and chattel.

Plus they are over sensitive. Every minor disagreement is akin to doing a minigun raid on a herd of Baby Seals.

They want to blame Men, God (or religion, whatever), and all sorts of other uninvolved people because they are single moms who can't enjoy their 20s.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear your husband died. Being a widow at 22 must be horrible"

"I wasn't married, my baby's daddy isn't dead. I just skipped the pill."

"Oh, well screw you then...oops. Too late"

Nope. Whether I end up in a gutter or a Turkish jail....I'll have only one person to blame.

Eurodriver, who had better be in the next seat over and not halfway to the next county.

I really can't help but wonder if this guy wasn't invited simply to be the cause of a riot? Honestly, the professor who was escorting him didn't know what was happening, didn't get a feel for the angry mob?
It must be like being the villain "pro" wrestler, but you don't know your going to get the beat down until you run out of the ring angry mob close behind you, all the while hoping your get away car will start.

I keep waiting for the Left to explain to us how freedom of speech is too dangerous for us to have anymore, I mean, "Think of the Children"...

Excellent point.

Rioting is a chump move. They can break bank windows and burn cop cars and it is a brave expression of social activism.

But some guy dresses up in makeshift black kit and brains one of these buttheads with a curtain dowling then it is a felony.

Tragic.

Also kids are overrated and overvalued. I needed far more arse beatings than I got.

We need a total and complete shutdown of these colleges until we can figure out what the hell is going on.

This is one of the things that's killing America: The idea that, for whatever reason, the children are the most important part of our society. The kids aren't responsible for day to day operation of our society. They aren't the ones who fight to keep us free. They don't make policies; they aren't the great minds that shape our culture. Children are students: They are people in training. They are our future, but they aren't the element of our society that we should build ourselves around.

The fact that we believe that the entire reason for our society to function is to make life fun for kids is where we get these snowflakes. When you live to serve someone, they eventually realize that they are calling the shots. You obey them, and if you defy them, they feel that they have the right to dole out punishment as they see fit. We now have a society where things are flipped on their heads: Where age and experience is sneered at, and youth and naivety are seen as the qualities of good leaders.

I remember having a conversation with my Dad at like 17 about how messed up the system is.
His words of wisdom were, "And so WTF do you know about the System?"
I guess you can protest, but at 18 through 22 and in America, honestly, just how angry can you be with a system that for the most part has kept you happy, well fed and healthy? These guys are all getting an education, all living in America and all likely very well fed and have some damned soft hands.
So the answer for these SJW guys is lets go attack some old farts and chase them, pull some hair and send an old Lady to the ER? It's all over a book written decades ago that is likely well past its freshness date and no longer (if it ever was) relevant.
When it comes to SJW's honestly, screw them and the lies the live.
I have more respect for some kid who kept his yap shut learned to game the system, got rich on some insider trading and is now living in Belize with a couple of horny little brown girls in a house on the beach.

I was waiting for someone to post this.

So a rural Vermont college attacks a leftist professor for inviting a pro gay marriage moderate conservative who is for semi-open borders to debate at her school. They are the key to their own undoing.

The professor's husband has done several interviews. He has stated that she fears for her life from her students now, she suffered a concussion and injury to her spine in her neck from being yanked by the hair and beat about the head by tolerant progressive liberal students.

I posted a thread a year or so ago about these oxygen thieves having to call 911 after seeing a mouse in the dorm room and other related stories. Even the leftist professors at these radical indoctrination mills are afraid of their own creation. We have a member here who was liberal college professor until he poped smoked and moved his family across the country for reasons similar to this, at least that is what he posted in my thread.

It does me good to see leftist academia imploding like this.
