Thanks for posting the results. Strange since both Gold Dot loads should have equal accuracy potential or you barrel just prefers the 75gr.

My intent is to show practical accuracy of these two rounds. The barrel is a chrome-lined, 1/7, DD 14.5 cut to 10.75", with a QD suppressor, and a LPVO. Groups were fired prone off the magazine.

As as nice bonus, these rounds have the same POA/POI as my practice ammo - Wolf Gold - at least 0-100yds.

I have fired both rounds in several other rifles and in each the 75 groups better than the 64. The accuracy of the 64 is still acceptable, in my opinion, for serious use, as it is better than mil-spec FMJ. The 75 is just more accurate in my experience. All groups were fired with the same lots.

Well done.

I've also noted that Wolf Gold shoots same POI as the 55/64 gr. GD to 100 yds.

I have been nothing but impressed with the Speer 75gr. I have shot it very accurately out to 500. It is my favorite all around AR load. It's accuracy seriously rivals that of Federal GMM, in a bonded, MUCH more versatile bullet. Last October I shot a Fallow deer in Iowa at a lasered 300 yards. Hit the deer behind the front shoulder, drove up into the chest, and put a softball sized exit in the chest. This round has it all for me. Barrier blind, almost match accurate, hits very hard for a .223. For me, it bats above its league.

I agree. I have shot the 75 grain load out of many different rifles with different type and length barrels, and it has performed well from all of them. In several, it has rivaled the accuracy of Black Hills 262, and the IMI 77 OTM. It will consistently print just under 1 MOA from one 11.5" and one 16" I have tried. 10 shot groups off a bipod.
I wish I would have bought more than a trial ammount when it was on sale.
