Has anyone used this stuff and if so what do i need to watch out for? What has been the easiest application tool?

Drop Brent at "Hardcorps" a line and see what he can do for you. I'm not sure this is an easy do it yourself type job.

He is a member here also. "Stang1"

It's a good quality product. The only thing to 'watch out for' is the same as for any refinishing product or method: the prep work. Use an airbrush or spraygun.

I use it on the tool steel knives that I make.
Observations I've made:
Don't order more than you need, I have some thats getting close to 1 yr old that I think is toast.
Humidity will screw up the cure process, The best results I've had is shooting in the winter when I can run a heater in the shop, seems to keep the humidity down and I heat the parts to about 110 degrees, and then let them set over the heater for 1 hour.
SURFACE PREP! I sand blast anything I'm going to coat. Degrease the hell out of stuff after that. I use denatured alcohol, I painted a parkerized 870 and it worked good as well. I shot a knife that I had finished out to about 600 grit and it has all worn off after 2 years of daily carry and frequent use.
A gravity feed style spray gun is far superior to the "model"type airbrush that you can get in the kit, especially if your doing a long gun or will be doing a lot of shooting.

hope this helps.

I would go with a thermal cure over an epoxy finish.
