So I bought a torque wrench at a garage sale for $2.50, and don't really know what I bought. Its missing the micrometer handle and I havent been able to find anywhere online that might sell replacement parts. This isnt my only torque wrench so its not like I am lacking, but if I can fix it and use it at work I would be happy. Any help is appreciated. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170327/d8643caf04b0948f530e09bab0ced4bd.jpg

Its pretty useless buddy.
Parts + assembly + calibration = it aint worth it.
looks like my cheap ass sears craftsman one thats only like 40 bucks brand new.
I agree, useless. Although I have lost 2.50 on more worthless stuff than that.
I bet IF you could figure out the manufacturer, unless its a CDI or something like that, the handle will cost more than the thing is worth, plus getting it calibrated.

I agree that the economics aren't there to make it operational, but if you're just interested, someone on the garage journal forum can probably identify it.

That's a start. I wondered if it wouldn't be worth it to have it fixed and calibrated, this just reinforces it. Oh well, it makes for an ok 1/2" drive cheater wrench though!

Reach out to these guys if need be (http://anglerepair.com). They restored/calibrated a vintage Proto ft/lb that I use for precise engine work. Very affordable with a quick turnaround.

Thats the torque wrench I have. Their pictures are a little off as it shows this one only up to 75 ft lbs(or whatever), but the description is 20-150. Head looks the same. Markings look pretty similar.
51 bucks.
Not worth sending what you have out and spending a dime on it. I would see if you can order the handle from sears for a few bucks. I wouldnt spend more than 10 bucks on it personally.

Hell, take it to sears and tell them the handle broke. They may give you a new one for free. They used to have a no questions asked lifetime warrantee. I used to take all kinds of tools I broke, wore out, etc and they either replaced them or rebuilt them right there.
Looks like an old Blackhawk my dad had though.
You wasted two dollars and fifty cents!

At least you have a new melee weapon in your cache.
