View Full Version : Free Fire (Movie )
Anybody seen this? Or even heard about it?

It's by Scorsese so it should be good, right?
I think I'll try to check it out this weekend.
Interesting.
It reminds me of Shoot Em Up and I loved Shoot Em Up.
Kind of a retro 70s-early 80s vibe.
That rifle looked like one of them FAMAE rifles.....were they available back then?
If they do retro gun movies, I'd love to see more AR-180s.

Stellar cast looks to be hilarious!
Thanks for the heads up and jfyi Scorsese is producing not directing.
The assault rifle is a Beretta SC-70. Huge points for gun pornage!

'' Ensemble cast" and a director in his twilight screams disaster.
Judging by the trailer, this is either going to be a great movie in the vein of some of the classics, or one of those "so WTF" movies you'll wonder if the entire cast and crew was on crack...
Not sure how they'll get at least an hour and a half out of 8 idiots having a shootout in a warehouse, but.... stranger things have happened.
reading some reviews the in one room gets old ?
not sure I would want to watch a whole movie based on some character dev then in a single location
fun when it hits netflix movie I reckon
Saw it tonight and enjoyed it. By no means was it Oscar worthy story telling but good entertainment. No political undertones or messages, just a deal that goes wrong and everyone loses.
I think it's worth your time for just general entertainment.

He's hit or miss. Looks like silly fun, but that's about it. When I see sparks flying off wooden crates etc from gun fire, I know suspension of disbelief a must to enjoy it at all

It's got Thomas Shelby, aka Cillian Murphy, I may give it a watch.

Ben Wheatley is the director, this is only his fifth feature length film.

But it is sold as a Scorsese film, but he is a producer.

I'll give them this much, they kept the guns limited to their respective capacities. 1911's held to 8 shots, revolvers to 5 & 6 depending on model. Even had to clear some malfunctions.
They did seem to bring a lot of reloads with them though.
I didn't pay close attention to the AR-70 but it seemed like they kept it to 30rnds.
