Bro, we are gonna need some pics.
I got this mental image of Trump hanging out at Clermont with a caddy bag full of XM-177 repros, surrounded by alt chicks with Pretty Hate Machine blasting.
That likely didnt happen but it should have

It's nice to see POTUS address the NRA in my lifetime for sure.

This bears repeating. A lot of people (Both Bushes come to mind) had a chance to do this and didnt.
People forget the NRA is a Civil Rights organization. This President is not concerned about an armed citizenry. In fact, he embraces it.
Part of me thinks his penchant for Eastern Bloc women colors him as I'm sure him and Ivana or Melania have had a late night sit down or two about the Velvet Dictatorship and the Iron Curtain. And how an armed citizenry would have been a free one.
Or not.
Regardless....He's been President 100 days and no complaints. Keeping promises and not just leaving guns alone but actually promoting them

Hell froze over.
CNN article that sounds surprisingly non-partisan.

As I sit here in DC today listening to and watching the 30k or self proclaiming climate change warriors call for resistance and revolution as a means to fight the science deniers and save the planet in the process, I can't help but subtly desire they'd clue into the significance of an armed populace. If for no other reason than to foster a roll back in roll back in anti 2a legislation so the rest of us could benefit.

You have a way of developing images in ones mind.

Hahahaha not sure. I got the vibe that they were mostly fair weather protestors though.

That's a heck of an EDC. How many belts do you carry for the SAW?

Good news. I saw more women and children than prior NRA shows.
We are.

This is twice for me now. Doesn't happen very often, enjoy it.

Dammit, I forgot to murder somebody today. I'm a Life Member I gotta keep on top of these things. What is the quota again?

The SIX.somethings were very popular in bolt and AR platforms. 6mm, 6.5 etc...

Quarterbore anything is chicken soup for the soul.
I have an ooooooold Eagle Arms AR-10 stripped lower that will be a .260 someday. Maybe even with a 20" barrel
To those who went or know things, did you see anything about a 6" long slide and barrel from Apex Tactical for the S&W 9mm M&P?

Not an M&P guy really but I'd like to know more. I could be swayed. ..especially since they have refined the M&P in the 9 years since I first messed with them. It had some plusses but some glaring minuses at the time esp. in 40.
The PPCer in me is a sucker for longslide 9s. As well as S&W

I'm pretty sure they are working on it since Randy Lee all but confirmed it over at Brian Enos. Had some teaser pics also. I thought I read somewhere they were going to reveal it at the NRA conv.

Link? I'd like to know more. I love my G17L but the M&P can have a less spongy trigger esp w/ Apex

It's $8000. Yeah, that's not an error.

Which is all most need to see at that point. I'll be buying an Barret M107 first. Has more use anyway.
On the long slide M&p from Apex. I too am a bit of a sucker for a long slide semi auto. A 6 inch 1911 is on my list, one of those would be fun as well. And I am getting tired of screwing with ARs are am starting to mod Glocks, M&Ps would be the next step, then move on to 1911s.

No thanks. If NFA were repealed, I'd happily get one. Otherwise that is optic and SR-25 money with change left over. SAWs arent cheap like M4s but with no full auto it is just a heavy .223 where you have to link ammo.
I wish KAC or Troy would perfect the Robinson Arms M96 and make a Stoner Carbine for their retro line. The oorah Nam fetishists could buy the drum and more casual people could use AR mags. I'd pay 2 large for one if it were a 1:1 replica

That's a bit much.

That's the same price when I first saw it a year or two ago, I think I saw it at SHOT in 2016.
