During my usual prowl throught the USPTO website for new patents and published applications, I found the following application from Ned Christiansen:
http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=%2220080222935%22.PGNR.&OS=DN/20080222935&RS=DN/20080222935
I understand the principle of keeping the tang/tail immobile. For instance, I've seen some Bruce Gray pistols where it looks like he cut the tail off of a beavertail grip safety, and welded it to the frame. The rest of the safety was then usable as normal. But that looks a hell of a lot of work. My only questions about Ned's version are how well will it work for left-handed use and will it pinch?
