I have a general question on what I would call response time as I cant think of a better term.
Without going into names of organizations/vendors here's the background and I'm just wondering if this is normal.
Both are purchases that are firearms related
1st is not your typical retail item per-se
I order and pay for item 4/12...receive confirmation of such same day
Receive correspondence from company 4/18....I respond and receive confirmation of such same day
I inquire with company 4/26 and receive response that I am in que same day
No contact since 4/26....I'm still waiting to know if anything has progressed 3 weeks after I've paid
2nd is more of a typical retail online order
I order and pay Monday, May 1 and receive confirmation of order
I login to their site this PM to check status and see that my order shows "processing"
I'm assuming that their site uses an active inventory tie (i.e. you can't order if not in stock) as similar items in another color are shown as out of stock.
I'd guess that nothing happened with the order on Monday as it was late in the day, but after two full business days (they're on eastern time) I just expected to see something other than "processing"
