Dammit.

I actually remember him most for his role as magnificent bastard Cy Tolliver on Deadwood.

You know having;
"Well, Bye"
Chiseled on your tombstone might not be an appropriate epitaph.
Well, for a few of us anyway.

WOLVERINES! I loved that movie as a kid. I still see it as a classic. He was a good actor.

I'd add Rapid Fire. But a rather significant part of what made the 80s great is now gone.

One of my all time favorite movies, 'Extreme Prejudice,' with Nick Nolte and Powers Boothe.

I really liked his films and work.

R.I.P. Sir.

P.S. Red Dawn was another great movie.

That's a damn shame. The man played a lot of memorable characters. Cy Tolliver from Deadwood was the one I enjoyed the most. RIP.

He starred in, what I believe was, HBO's first-ever, in-house, filmed-and-produced movie - "By Dawn's Early Light (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099197/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_51)." A decent cold war flick about a B-52 flight crew caught in a nuclear exchange between the U.S. and the Soviets. Top notch cast.

He was great in Deadwood. Which by the way completely sucks that they ended it after 3 seasons.

Yeah that is one I have never picked up on DVD, guess I'll be adding that to my Amazon wishlist an yes that cast is awesome.

One of the many reasons I hate HBO. That was the biggest damn let down when they canceled the show. Well that an Jericho.

I'll just leave this here, as a fitting (to me) ending theme song to Mr Boothe's life. 'Red Dawn' made a big impression on me as a firearm-loving teenager, and when the end credits rolled with the rousing music, I remember people cheering and clapping in the theatre as the faces of each actor/character flashed up on the screen.

Powers Booth played a great role in Deadwood, but I must say that was the stupidest ending ever written.
Great series except for the last episode.

I think there were plans to do another season, and then they couldn't get the casts' schedule to sinc up, so it was cancelled. It's my second favorite HBO series.

Yeah it wasn't just supposed to end like that.

HBO pulled the plug on the series.
