Kimer Gold Match Stainless IIhttp://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/goldmatch/stainless_gold_match_II/

i thought the only springer in 9mm has target sights, hence the fact that i never bought one. but that PX9130lp looks like the hot ticket for me. thanks!!

Kimber makes a few:

I have this one:
Kimber Stainless Target II (http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/custom/stainless_target_II/161/)

Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II (http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/compactprocarry/stainless_pro_carry_II/155/)

I also have this one chambered in 9mm
Kimber Pro Carry II (http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/compactprocarry/pro_carry_hd_II/172/)

There are a couple more too.

Rob, i remember you asking for a fixed sight to replace an adjustable on an STI in 9mm. i was looking for a single stack 9mm at the same time, too. so i ordered the Harrison fixed rear sight for the Bomar cut, with the intent of buying the springfield. but after getting the sight in, and looking through the catalogs, i think there is more than one cut for adjustables, even though they look like Bomars.

it is Brownell's # 100-003-572

Yeah, I asked about that because I was having a hard time coming up with the STI with a fixed rear sight and thought it might be faster to just swap it out. In the end I decided it was better to just get what I want.

I don't know if this Para meets the "traditional" requirement as it holds 18 rounds.

EDIT: It took a few seconds to realize this is not a single stack! Sorry!

The 5" Kimber stainless one with fixed sights is $800 something.

The Springfield 9mms are around the same. I own the target model (adj sights) and it's a fun a pistol.

The Springfield models appear to fetch just at, or under $900. Not sure that's all that affordable though.

Haven't scoured the sites of makers like Dan Wesson etc. just yet. Not something I'd be terribly interested in but in the interests of compiling a complete list I guess I should.

I've been toying with getting one also. Personally, I would get a Trojan from Brazos Custom or Dawson Precision for about $922. Plus, you can order it with a fixed STI sight if you wish.

Brazos is who I was talking to when I was going to order a Trojan. They were several months out on the fixed sight versions so I shelved the idea. Not big on waiting. :p

Was going to also have them do their $150 package as well, just to try and be sure.

I wish Springfield Armory would take their new short action design and make a GI style 9mm pistol out of it. Something without the frills would sell like crazy. As much as I hate Springfield, I'd buy one.

I'm actually in contact with NH about that now. But, do you know of a specific model that is a standard item in 9mm? I couldn't find anything on their site.

Thanks.

The Ladyhawk (Yes they can leave the name off the slide), but after reading your post again, i see you want a 5" slide, the Ladyhawk is 4.25". But they will build you a gun to your exact wants and desired parts from any manufacturer.

How about that new Para LTC? Do believe it is a single stack 5" 9mm with fixed sights.

I already generally avoid 9mm 1911s, but one chiseled out by Para-ord would make me throw up a little bit in my mouth.

I recently acquired a STI Trojan 9mm from dawsonprecision for $920ish I believe. I have ran about 500 rounds through it and it is a very nicely built pistol. Have not had any issues with it and if I did, I've had friends who have sent it back to either dawsonprecision or STI, and they always make it right.

From dawson, ask about the dawson special for the STI Trojan, which is a free dawson fiberoptic front sight, which is the best in the market imo.

Good luck!
