I'm throwing together a K.I.S.S. build with a 16 mid length using a fsb. I wanted to use a JP handguard but the length is 9.25", is that too long to work with an fsb?

I measured my midlength with fsb. Looks like it would barely fit, but might depend on tolerance stacking between components.

I know for a fact the Centrurion C4 9" will fit behind and FSB since i had it on a Kino and it is listed at 9.25".

That said, why not the C4 Mid cutout

I don't need picatinny, and I'm trying to keep the handguard slim for when I take my nieces and nephews shooting.

Do you need a free float tube? The Slimline handguards are slim and are long enough to cover the FSB and help protect a stray hand from getting burned

Troy Alpha rail, 9.25" on a mid length with front sight also

I don't need free float, but I would prefer it. I was just trying to verify what the actual length was to fit a mid length with an FSB. Some manufacturers listed their handguards as 9" and some as 9.25".

Thanks fellas

I think the extra quarter inch takes the hand guard cap (or lack there of) into consideration. You'd want 9.25" without it or you will have a noticeable gap (you'll clearly see the gas tube). I think markm had a build that left the cap in place to fill the gap with something.

Cool, I've been keeping my eyes open on the EE for another one, it is nice to know they will be available again.
