It looks like they're defending a beachhead. Appears to be waves washing onto a beach in front of them in the distance. I don't think there are any beaches in Mongolia, but I could be wrong.

Doesn't matter. Finger isn't even on the trigger. I appreciate the officer showing which way to point the weapon anyway.
