WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is letting a limited version of the Trump administration ban on travel from six mostly Muslim countries to take effect, a victory for President Donald Trump in the biggest legal controversy of his young presidency.

The court said Monday the ban on visitors from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen could be enforced as long as they lack a “credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.” The justices will hear arguments in the case in October.

WINNING. Now let's put a moratorium on ALL immigration for, say, eight years.

And in other news, water remains wet and Michael Jackson is still dead.

I spent a career in immigration enforcement, only to have some SJWs tell me I didn't know what I was talking about...

Heinlein's "crazy years" indeed.

My understanding is that the reinstatement until fully ruled was unanimous, which is huge in itself.

Partisan Fed judge rulings aside, there are some thorny issues that if this ruling is blocked will significantly restrict the Executive Branch from similar orders in the future.

Which Cuts both ways, so conjecture is the Supreme Court will handle the final ruling very cautiously.

'Impeachment' interest will be directly related to the the SCOTUS pick.

Please, please, please let Ginsburg retire.

At least one bright point in that dissent. Gorsuch joined it. Trump has selected a solid Justice, let us hope for more to come.

I saw a report that it may be Kennedy to retire this summer.

And CNN retracted one of their Trump / CCCP articles. One of their writers, his editor, and their unit boss all "resigned" in the wake.

Handing the White House a huge judicial victory, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of President Trump’s travel ban affecting residents of six majority-Muslim countries.

The justices said the policy can take full effect despite multiple legal challenges against it that haven’t yet made their way through the judicial system.

The ban applies to people from Syria, Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

My take: bleeding heart pro-immigration wonks are soiling themselves as we speak. Pass the toilet paper.

Hopefully they get all the other "legal challenges" worked out and the ban can take effect soon.

Reading Fox's report it sounds like it is already authorized to take effect while the legal challenges go forward.

Didn't the ban expire after 90 days? Does this apply to future bans?

I don't think even libtard SCOTUS justices like lower courts trying to override them.

What was the vote breakdown?

Looks like Ginsberg and Sotamayor were against.
