With all the sales going on right now I am thinking it's finally time to try an rmr or delta point on a Glock. Just curious which dot size to go with CCW and range use. The offerings I have been looking at are 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, and 7.5 MOA. I am early 40's with good eye sight, but I do have difficulty seeing things close up like reading close to my face. Thanks in advance for your experience and suggestions.

I like 6.5 MOA. It's more than accurate enough out to 75 yards on a steel target

I've ran a RM07 6.5 dot on a G19 for 5 years served me well, still works great. good balance of speed and precision.

I have a few RMR06 (3.25 moa) and an RMR07 (6.25 moa) I like to run mine with the brightness turned up and the 3.25 moa dots seems crisper than the 6.25 when it is turned up to full brightness.

My personal preference is the 3.25 but any of those sizes will serve you well for a pistol.

Another vote for the RM07. I have one on my M&P9 ProCORE and love it. Picked up another one on sale from Cabela's for either a G19MOS or the optic ready VP9 in the future.

Thanks for all the replies. I am leaning toward the Delta Point Pro with the 7.5 MOA triangle over the 6.5 MOA RMR. Any comments for one over the other?

The lens on the DPP is larger than the RMR and the battery is much easier to change. I had the opportunity to use the DPP with the smaller dot and liked it a lot.

Ill be ordering one once the adapter plate for the FNX45 is available.

3.25

I was wondering if it was going to be too big but if you think about simpiintsbcomebin 2 or 4 MOA so there's probably something tomit.

3.25 is more than enough. If you want a larger dot just turn up the brightness.

Less than 5moa.

I had a 6.25 RMR and went smaller in a Shield RMS. Smaller is much preferable, especially if you are trying to shoot smaller steel plates at 25 yards plus. Same story on anything at distance, less is more.

I found a good deal on a DPP with the 7.5 MOA triangle so I ordered it. I shoot mostly 20 yards and in so hopefully I'll like it. Thanks for all the advice and experience, it helped out a lot.

Looked at both. Chose the 3.5.
No regrets whatsoever. 6.25 is just too much, even for my 7th decade eyes.

Aim small, miss small.
3.25" RM01, 3.25" RM06 or 1"MOA RM09

Aaron post great videos. Does anyone here have astigmatism and found a triangle better than a dot?

I tried looking through a DPP with the triangle and it just looked like a bigger, ob-longed dot to me. I use a 3 MOA dot on my 22/45 steel challenge race gun and have no problem keeping track of the dot. I haven't had a chance to look through a 6 MOA dot on a pistol yet, but 3 MOA is plenty for me.

I have not heard anyone that actually liked the triangular reticles, despite the theory of using the tip for precision and the body for general use.

I was on vacation last week when my 7.5 MOA DPP arrived. I'm still deciding on which mounting solution to go with though. I used a piece of tape to hold the DPP on the slide to practice sight acquisition. I'm kinda digging the triangle but I obviously can't know for sure until I get it mounted and out to the range.

Thanks for asking this question.
I'm considering the same thing for my VP9.

I've been doing a lot of research on this as well and from what I am reading for pistol and USPSA, people like 6. 7.5 for DeltaPoint Pro.

I just bought a G17 MOS today so once I get my 7.5 MOA DPP mounted and out to the range I'll report back.

I prefer a 2 minute dot.

For my use- large enough to be quick, small enough to allow "surgical precision" if needed.
