With almost 3 years of research and development into our system of components we have finally built a series of rifles that can be rivaled by no other AR system available. A completely oil less rifles that runs dry no matter how many rounds are put through it. A Rifle with 60% less recoil than its predecessors, and above all a rifle that can not only stand the test of intense combat, extreme environment but can withstand the test of time itself.

Designed to run dry, after break in period. Do not use oil for optimum performance. The use of oil has been found, by Next Generation Arms, to promote system failure in the AR design.

I was looking for a laugh but didn't expect this good!

Which extreme environment? Extremely stupid.

You could make that stuff up, although it would give you a headache...

Nice trademark violation on the FSC, BTW.

Are they saying that they are ceramic coating the internal of the upper/lower receiver as well?

Sounds like it. Can anybody here trace the lineage of their build?

Otis completely lost my business when they started selling that snake oil.

Since the AR is DI, what carries away the crud in their dry lube weapons?

My local funshop has started carrying Next Gen. Ar's. Their demo gun has approx. 5,000 rounds w/o cleaning and w/o oil/lube. Mind you I don't know if that was all indoor range rounds or outdoor down and in the dirt rounds, but 5k none the less. They say they have been moving them pretty fast. Time will tell to make me a believer.

Anybody else tired of the word "Proprietary"??? The industry's most overused buzz word.

The BCG and Bolt are all treated with the ceramic coating and are pretty slick. I'm guessing since carbon/fouling doesn't stick to it, it all just gets burned off or ran out the barrell with the next round(s). There are only so many exits on an AR.

The BCG/Bolt I saw was a little dirty and had 1,000 rounds of no oil or cleaning. The stuff on it wiped off easily with my hand. Looked like nothing more than smudges.

Just what i saw, not an owner or believer.

Still trying to figure out what this offers over a gas piston AR for the same prices or less......

isn't it obvious LL?

you obviously want a heavy 1/9 barrel in a patrol carbine.

and its the highest possible grade barrel steel at 4140

and of course after you hand lap that barrel, you want to coat it in nano ceramic diamond pixie goo.

and the KNS pins are backwards because um its "Extreme", obviously.

and who doesn't run their AR bone dry?

seriously tho, its cool that they have an optional stainless Noveske barrel, but that makes it a bit less of an "Extreme Environment" barrel, unless its IonBonded or something, which im sure it isnt.

Otis themselves say that you need heat and pressure of firing rounds and applying three different treatments of the stuff to work. so exactly how do they coat the inside of the upper?. wouldnt have enough pressure, even if this shit did really work. pressure inside the UR is nowhere close to that of the bore, obviously.

Of course, all the pics at the top of the website show GIs with normal rifles. Not their special proprietary one...

The only advice to any potential buyer of those rifles is "If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3sCNRnn7GA&feature=related)

I disagree, extreme (and all of its spelling variants) is the most overused buzzword.

But, wait, he can't be tactical....the woodland camo is so passe...

The real tactical operators are wearing ACU, of course.

Woodland camo is for mall ninjas on a surplus store budget.
