We got this Walther PPK in today on a transfer, and I was wondering if anyone here could tell me more about it and especially the holster. From what research I've done I believe the pistol was made in 1935. This was a WWII bring back according to the will that came with the pistol.

In your pics, I don't see any waffenampts on the pistol.. This could be a commerical model that was pressed into service later on in the war, or it could've been a private purchase,as officers in the German army were allowed to buy their own sidearms. The Germans used quite a few pistols, lugars, p-38's, ppk's, Mauser hsc's, as well as some Czech pistols. God only knows who had yours, it could've been an officer, or some cop, as both were issued, and/or bought pistols like the ppk. If it could only talk. It looks like it and the holster are in pretty good shape, it's a shame the grip is cracked, althpugh I think a replacement could be found.

According to my reference book : Know Your Walther PP & PPK Pistols

"Crown over N is a German pre-war proof mark before April 1, 1940. "N" indicates that the gun has been proofed with "nitro" or smokeless powder. Found on early PP and PPKs. "
