i am looking to pick up a used LWRC m6 psd that is chambered in 5.56 from a local seller. Gun looks new even though it's 8+ years old. No wear marks on the deflector and the bore and bolt Assy look unused. Previous owner took the lwrc irons off and replaced them with magpul buis. Considering it does not have the ambi controls and only comes with 1 mag what do you think is fair price wise. I looked on gunbroker and all they had was new guns.

Is this an SBR?

No it is the 8" pistol sold without stock or vertical grip.

Congrats.

Not to rain on your parade at all but I just can't warm up to the ideas of an 8" 5.56mm weapon, especially at the LWRC price-point. Loss of velocity is significant as well as the muzzle blast. Personally I won't go below 10.5". YMMV.

Nonetheless OP it'll be a cool toy!

Have not bought it yet. Thanks for the input though, noted.

Anything under 10.5" is an exceedingly loud, teeth jarring toy. As already posted, I would seriously consider a 10.5" as a minimum length unless you just wanted a play toy.

Agreed with the last couple posters on the barrel length.

+1. I wouldn't keep an 8" 5.56 gun if it was given to me.

I have a PWS 7.75 inch SBR, velocity is there with 10.5 inch barrels. I just got it cheaper than the lwrci or I would have gone lwrci with my other 4 one a 10.5 inch that is my main carry AR.

Thanks for all of your thoughts for these old ears!

I am a fan of PWS rifles, but I seriously doubt this is true, or even possible. What is the basis for your statement please?

Really interesting.

Got chrony data?

If you need something shorter than 10.5" for some reason, that's when. 300blk makes a lot more sense. If you need it shorter so you can add suppression, then a DI .300blk makes even more sense.

There was a review on the MK-107 that it increase with the coatings or some such.

I do not have Chrono's here in Iraq but I do at home on my other laptop. It was within 50 FPS with some of the rounds I was using but I might be using a chrono wrong.

I use it for a vehicle gun with a suppressor.
