Anyone using it with Nosler Ballistic tips and/or Sierra HPBT's? Been using H335 but CFE's cheaper and easier to find right now in my AO.

I'm loading for 3 AR's (5.56 chambers) and a Stevens 200 (long throat, shoots 5.56 with no pressure signs).

Not with CFE223 but I loaded Nosler 55gr ballistic tips with H335 and they were consistently sub minute with a few groups under .5 MOA. This is shooting out of my BCM SS410 16" upper.

I'm loading 25.5 grain H335 with both Noslers and Sierras, both shoot well but the LGS has lots more CFE on the shelf for $5/pound less.

26.6gr CFE223 with 55 vmax is in a node in my 20" DPMS barrel chrono at 3024fps I like it so much I bought a couple 8lb jugs.

CFE is a great powder. H335 is flame throwing garbage. I run 335 for theatrics only.

Weird, I've never had that issue. I shoot mainly suppressed now but even before that I didn't see that. Perhaps I am not loading them hot enough for theatrics?

Yeah I run 27.5gr CFE under 55gr BT's and Hornady FMJ's.

Seems to do quite well in my barrels. Plus the stuff doesn't copper up as advertised. More importantly it meters well in my Dillon.

25 gr and a short barrel or any barrel with a brake and it's impressive.

Well I started out with 27.3 grains and worked up to Nosler's max of 28.0 grains. Loaded up a bunch of Nosler Ballistic tips and Sierra HPBT and headed to the range.

All the charges shot very well but got sub-.5MOA 3 shot groups with the Nosler BT's right at 28 grains in my Stevens 200. I'm using Remington 7.5 primers, they looked good. No ejector swipes, etc. The AR's with the same load was shooting 10 shot groups right around an inch and a quarter at 100, I can live with that.

The Sierra HPBT's were loaded and shot, but we're going to redo those results. By the time I was done with the Nosler loads the range temp. was 105, my Stevens barrel was hotter than hell and I had AR trouble. It did appear that of the loads I shot that the ones I crimped with a Lee FCD tended to shoot a bit better than the uncrimped. Again, nothing's certain with them yet until I load some more and try again.
