What different calibers can you get for the AR-15 Platform? Not AR-10, just AR-15

I've seen AR15 uppers for everything from .22LR up to .50 BMG

I'm thinking about an upper for deer/elk hunting? Just wondering what some of my options are. I know about the 6.8 and 6.5. I'm leaning toward the 6.8, but I was just wondering what else is available

6.8 mm is probably the most readily available and has the best choice of commercially available hunting ammo. For shorter range use, there are also the large bores like .458 SOCOM and .50 Beowulf that kind of act like low end .45-70's or 12 ga slugs. Obviously there are a bunch of wildcats, and less readily available items as well.

Knock yourself out.....

I don't know anything about this company, just saw it while surfing.....

Personally, I think that the .308 is an ideal mule deer round, and I never seen an elk question my grandfather's Savage 99 .308 with 180 grain pills.

Why someone would ever chamber an AR style rifle in .300 Savage is beyond me....
