So what are everyone's thoughts on these two items below. Does anyone have any first hand experience with them or know of anyone with experience with them.

they are derived from Israeli vests. Whether or not CAA is manufacturing these or nameplating units from an existing stock remains to be seen. Perhaps TimW could shed some light on this?

I was under the impression that CAA was an Israeli company making products for the IDF and other people. I could be wrong though.

CAA is importing vests made by Marom-Dolphin, which is an IDF contract manufacturing firm.

The "modular" vest uses a proprietary system that, from all I've heard, is incompatible with anything but those vests. I will readily admit I have not been able to verify this, but I've heard it from a couple of different sources.

There are about 4 or 5 companies that do the Lion's share of sewing for the IDF, one of which is Marom. Others are Archidatex/Export Erez (sister companies, one being the export arm and is the brand I import), Kata, Rabintex and another whose name escapes me at the moment.
