Typical. There was no intention of having an honest discussion on Acosta's part, he had his talking points and simply wanted to play gotcha. Soros would be proud.

Acosta is repeating what so many of his followers believe. They don't care about history.

I wish Miller would have gone for the jugular on his argument: the Statue of Liberty is not about immigration at all and she doesn't represent America. She is above the nations as an example to all nations of the earth: people DON'T NEED TO MIGRATE to find freedom if leaders of nations would seek the freedom lady liberty represents. The French gave it as a gift to us to thumb their nose at their own govt for not seeking liberty. That immigrants can't find liberty here to the same degree as they could in ages past is a failure to live up to Lady Liberty herself and the document she holds in her hand.

Whenever these guys ask a question, before Miller can answer, they step up on the Socialist Progressive soap box and start interrupting the very answer they requested.
If you cannot have a polite exchange in which you ask for and receive answers to questions, perhaps you're not necessarily in the right room.
Turning a press conference into a "Gotcha" moment to promote your political agenda is not a press conference.
Honestly, just remove the hostility or remove the hostile parties.

Consider that this is a Press briefing and the objective is the dissemination of information.
This is not a High School debate contest. If you cannot conduct yourself professionally so that the briefing is conducted in a manner that allow the information to flow, why continue with Acosta?
Simply have the responsible security agency drag him out by the heels and ban him.
Then the next time it happens ban the next guy, then ban CNN.
Acosta's security pass should be pulled and he should be banned from the White House grounds.
I hear Tacoma needs a new Weatherman anyway.

Never knew of Acosta before this (I gave up on cable after it went to total shit in the last 10 years), now I know, and I know he is a total tool. No wonder CNN is such a joke.

Miller should have just called Acosta "racist". The left does it all the time. Not this "metropolitan bias" just call him racist and turn off his mic.

Racists to exclude all these people. Yes their rate of English in those countries is lower, but you don't give green cards to percents of population, you give them to people.

Oddly enough I spent a career and a goodly chunk of my life arresting illegals. I'd still do it (for free!) if this country had the stones to really do it.

I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and who have lived here even though sometime back they may have entered illegally.

I'm of two minds on this,
The Law is the Law.
If my kids were hungry I would break that Law to feed them and give them a better life in the United States, I really would.
The real criminals in all of this reside within the power structure of Mexico and the Mexican Government. Want to fix immigration? Build a wall and plug the relief valve (illegal immigration) that keeps this corruption working.
