Starring Bruce Willis. Directed by Eli Roth.
Looks promising. It does what a "Death Wish" movie is supposed to do. I just hope I can watch it without thinking of what Mr. Bronson did with the role the whole time.

Love the Shrinks line ! Whatever Your Doing Keep It Up ! Bruce just smiles and says OK ! ;) I'm sure there will be some ridiculous gun play over the top stuff but so what,,its a movie/entertainment not a documentary ! LOL Always loved the original Death Wish movies so this should be pretty good ! Will check it out when its local.
Well, that *could* be fun. I mean, it'll be another "Bruce Willis movie", so... there's at least a 50% chance of it being good.
That being said, an old guy mowing down hordes of 80's gangbangers and bikers with a 1919 while his sidekick runs around smoking fools with a zipgun will never be topped, so... yeah.
Maybe as an homage time around they can actually get a working MG42? To much to ask? :laugh:

It will never match the original. They remade The Mechanic and it didn't hold a candle to Bronson's.

Agree 100% on never matching the original- however the timing is great, and the fact that its already pissin off the libtards and its still months away {look for that to increase as its release date draws closer} Im definitely going to see it.
Im extremely picky on what/how hollywierd gets my money anymore. Gonna see Dunkirk soon, and this, will probably be all I see this year.

They put it in Chicago, that is just perfect!
The original Death Wish was great, believable and realistic. Since then the original franchise got wilder and wilder in their script with machine guns, explosion, city block gun battles and LAWS rockets (I think they used that in the last installment). Once they did that, it stop being realistic and this viewer lost sympathy with the Paul Kersey character. I bet this remake one is full of action but more along the mayhem like in the latter Death Wish sequels. I'll just wait for the dvd or netflix or something, won't be paying $10 to see it at the theater.
I actually never cared for the original. It was ok but whatever. At some points it felt like a direct to VHS movie. Haven't seen the rest.
This one looks less realistic. I'll see it if for nothing else then to know what it's like to feel naked racism!

I plan to see it. Bruce Willis has made some great movies, and others look like he just phoned in his performance.

The dude that stepped on the board with the spike in it reminded me of the Home Alone scene. LOL. In a way, it's like Home Alone with guns, lots of big guns or live action cartoon. The detective and Kersey knocking down the thugs with mostly single shots :) The detective shot a bad guy on the roof with his snub revolver, strong hand only almost from the hip :) It's hilarious.

On Twitter YES. If this movie was about an uprising of Chicago drug dealers and gang bangers against their oppressive white overlords anyone who complained would be told to not be so uptight because it's "just a movie."
Of course this is all nothing new. In 1989 Spike Lee had a film that advocated burning down any private business that wouldn't put up pictures of black heroes or allow boom boxes to be played at full volume after closing.

If you go and watch the extras on the special features of the Dirty Harry DVD the leftist said the same shit about Dirty Harry. Of course in the second film Magnum Force Dirty Harry takes down crooked vigilante White LEOs so they didn't know what to do lol.
The climate in the country back when the original Death Wish came out as well as Dirty Harry, Taxi Driver and many other films in that genre was very much the reason why these films were and are still so popular. ****ing bleeding hearts and activist judges were emptying the prisons and going soft on violent criminals.
