On another forum, we are thinking about getting enough people together for a buy on STI pistols.
They would be:
STI Lawman, chambered in 10mm
blued finish
standard Heinie rear sight
ambi-safety
no front slide serrations

I think we have to get about 15 in order for STI to build them.
Anyone interested?

Are any of those specs up for mods?

And of course what's the cost?

Which specs do you want different?
We are just trying to determine if there is enough interest.
And what specific specs those interested would want.
Depending on specs, I would guess around $1200 per pistol.
But that is a total guess. I don't know if we would get a discount for ordering a quantity of them.

Once we figure out that enough people are interested, we will call and find out detailed info about pricing.

Ambi safety is not an option I care for, although I know south paws need them. Front serrations are nice but I can live without them.

Do you know what kind of recoil spring set up they'd have?

We may be able to mix/match sights and thumb safeties.
It would use the STI one piece full length guide rod.
I also want to find out if we can get them without "Lawman" engraved in slide.

other than being teats on a boar, what's your objection to front slide serrations?

I was referring to the front of the grip, not the slide. I can do without the front of the slide serrations. But the front strap is a nice place for them.

Sorry for the confusion on my part.

No- ambi, front slide serration, "Lawman".
Yes- front strap checked/serrated, top of slide serrated (ala Gold Cup), full length dust cover or rail.
Last time I check on a special order "run" they wanted 25 pieces, no discount.
If this is a go, I'm in.
PM me so we can exchange email addresses. Might be the best way to keep track of this project.

All pistols have to be built exactly the same.
Minimum number for a custom run is 16 pistols.

The blued Lawman in 10mm, fixed rear (Heine) sights, no front cocking serrations, "Legacy" (thin) style rear cocking serrations, and ambi safeties for $1,255.

There is, however, one catch on the Lawman. Since this pistol would deviate significantly from the standard Lawman, STI will not engrave the name "Lawman" on it. The pistol will come with no name engraved on it.

STI's offer on this SRA is good for only two weeks. We would need commitment and payment from 16 people before we place the order with STI. Currently, STI is quoting an 8-week delivery time frame. Once the order is placed with STI, payments are non-refundable.

Money and transfers would be handled through Brazos Custom Gunworks. I have no affiliation with Brazos. They are the STI distributor that would handle this special order.

I am starting an e-mail list of people that will purchase this pistol. I will try to get at least 16 pistols committed within the next week. If you want a pistol, PM me your e-mail. If I get enough people together, then I will e-mail everyone information about payment, etc.

Sorry guys.
It's a no go.
Not enough people interested.
I might try again after the first of the year.
