I have a very good friend whose son was hit on his motorcycle by an elderly lady that made an illegal left turn over a center concrete divider and crashed into him causing him to lose his leg below the knee among other injuries. Tyler was a 35M in the U.S. Army, he served in both Iraq and Afghanistan but was sidelined by an IED. His wife is also an Army vet and they have two young children, a boy and a girl.*

There is a GoFundMe set up for Tyler and family (https://www.gofundme.com/raise-money-for-tyler-and-family) to help them with their immediate needs until the lawyers, insurance, VA, etc. etc. start to kick in. If you can donate a few bucks please do so, if thoughts and prayers are you can do right now thank you for that as well. Also, please share on social media.

Did what I could. Always sad to see something like this happen.

Chipped in yesterday when I first saw this thread and posted it on my Facebook page (I like never ever do that so my friends should know that it's important).

Thank you all your thoughts and donations.

BTW, a good samaritan saved the day with a bungee chord tourniquet, probably saved his life. This is why I keep a trauma kit in my rig.
