View Full Version : What's the UGLIEST gun you own or can think of?

What's the ugliest gun you own, either due to wear, abuse, modifications, or because it's some oddball design only its inventor could love?

Post pics if you have 'em !

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I don't have any ugly guns. My "ugliest" gun was probably a milled MAK90 that had a balsa wood butthole stock that was so beat up and cracked that I had to replace it with an aftermarket thumhole stock before I sold it.

Anybody have any fugly firearms they want to show off?

Glock.

Not a complete gun, but still technically the firearm, but here is a pic of a lower that I acquired a while back. Figured it was originally a DPMS Arctic lower. Someone abused it with a dremil. Have since refinished with with alumahyde. Still looks rough, but going to slap a cheap upper on it, rattle can it, and keep it as a beater or a loaner for people I don't trust with nicer rifles.

The one in the middle...the Ruger Talo Toklat 454 Casull. Ugliest gun ever with that slabside barrel. It's just looks odd. It probably beats a Hipoint on the ugly scale.

But it is one of my favorite revolvers. Recoil is very manageable, balanced perfectly for a LARGE BORE 454 Casull, and it points very well. Built like a tank!

Then again, I love all of my revolvers.

I can explain your Ruger, it's basically a reverse engineered Type 14.

She might be ugly but she puts out when I need her to . . .

Are we talking"ugly" because of design or "ugly" because of finish or other accessories?

I don't think any of my guns are ugly but I never care about finish or furniture, I always assume ugly is the actual design.

That is one ugly gun. Looks like it would squirt out of your hand upon gripping. It looks like one that was built toward the end of the war after we bombed the living crap out of them and their factories could only produce the basic gun.......man, does that thing have tool marks. Even without the horrible tool marks it's would still be an extraordinarily ugly gun!

Generally considered the worst pistol ever made, the sear bar is on the frame and the firearm could be discharged without even touching the trigger.

Sometimes you have to ask why? I'm stunned that it comes from Ukraine, that looks like something made by hand in the Sudan. Also not really seeing any improvements over a basic Makarov. It's just bizarre.
