Trouble with Magpul UBR Gen 2

Just got this stock installed.
It only adjusts to 3 positions. 3,4,5.

It won't go out all the way.

It won't close all the way.

Do I have a dud?

Maybe I am the dud but I can't figure this out.

Even when I remove the adjustment locking screw it still won't close.

You won't believe this.

I think I have a factory pre Gen 2 reject.

The reason why the stock won't close is because in the back the rails don't go for the length of the entire body.

I kid you not.

Their customer service is top notch.
They are always available to answer my questions.
I know they will fix this one that got away.

Unfortunately, I have to sleep till this evening so this may have to wait till next week.

I spent 3 hours running the stock back and fourth trying everything possible to figure this out.

After all that time I know my lower and this new UBR intimately well and am no worse for the wear.

I'm friggin retarded!

I had the outer tube backwards!

This was not obvious to me since the parts still fit!

Magpul techsupport to the rescue!!!

I sent a photos and the tech knew right away.

I got through to tech support right away.
