I don't know how to search for this and all I keep finding is the letter prefix date code. I'm trying to find the time frame when Sig had their slides made in the USA and frames in Germany

It's hard to give an exact timeframe, but this article says sometime in the 2000s they started putting US-made slides and barrels on German-made frames: https://www.realgunreviews.com/is-my-made-in-germany-or-west-germany-sig-really-german/

Early 2000's is about the best you will be able to pin it down. The P239 was the first US made slide in the late 90's I believe followed by the P229. Then when they came out with the P226 in 40 it had a stainless US slide as did the 9mm stainless (Nitron) slides. The last to change over on the classic line was the P220. It wasn't until the late 2000's/early 2010's that I began to see US made frames.
