My "Custom MK18 Clone"

So I've decided to "clone" a MK18.
I know theres this little list of all the actual parts that keep the clone authentic but I've decided to venture away from that and do my own kinda "clone."
I built it as a pistol as I'm pending my tax stamp approval. Another curve is that I've built it chambered in 300 Blackout as I will be running it suppressed once I've obtained the can.

Ballistic Advantage 300 Blackout 10.3" Hanson Series Barrel 1:7 twist pistol length gas system
Ballistic Advantage low profile gas block & gas tube (pistol length)
Surefire Warcomp 7.62
Aimpoint Micro T1 w/ Larue 1/3 co-witness mount
Surefire M300 Scout light w/ Surefire SR07 tape switch
Daniel Defense DDM4 9.0" Rail (Could not source the DD RIS II by its self)
*Also purchased the BCM KAG but not installed yet

Looks nice. I'm thinking of doing a similar build in 300 blackout. Patriot Brown? Any plans for iron sights? Is this a home defense setup or range gun?

Yea cerakote is Patriot Brown. Undecided on sights still. Mainly if wether to go fixed front or not. Yea its home defense, cqc, training etc

Cerekote Patriot Brown is a good color. I have taken one of my SBR lowers and a DD Mk18 rail and coated in that color. Looks good.

I think the Mk18 would be better if it was a 300 Blackout. Not that I'm hating on the 5.56mm, but once you move away from "twenty inches and rifle gas" you're inevitably starting to make compromises. That's a rocking little stick!

Nice! If I can find another CASV-EL or two I'm considering a faux-Dissipator ("live" gas block concealed under handguard, sighting-only FSB near barrel end) version of a ".300BLK Mk 18" myself...
