Indeed. I bought a BCM blem once and it was beautiful, I had to guess at what the problem was. I'd buy one of these but honestly, one guy can only own so many lowers, and I probably have a few I should sell instead of buying more.

Lol, in early 2016 I bought 300 of them at $5.99 apiece, lowest I ever saw them....Oh well.
Best deal in metal mags these days are the Okay/Surefeeds at Botach. Two weeks ago they were on sale for $10.14. Bought another 25 of the Tan ones, needed them like a hole in the head......With the California demand they are now up to $11 and many types are sold out but still some of the best mags going for the money.

CTD is really not a good example. They started price gauging the day quarantines were announced. This is also standard operating procedure for them any time there's a political or social hiccup they kill of all current purchases and relist everything at double or triple the price. That same day

Must be nice to not have an insane state sales tax... here in Seattle with our 10%, it's about a buck-ten a round hen you order two cases of 75gr.

I got VTG to work with two cases, good to know TAG will work on one. Only reason I didn't drop the hammer is I'm pretty sure the Hazmat markings would have the property manager shittin' kittens in multi-litter quantities...

Well it's the first time in a while that I've seen bulk ammo available. It's not cheap like it was but it's available and that is "interesting" in todays market.
I snagged a case of 5.56 a couple weeks ago from Midway at .46 per round, but that was a one-off, to be sure.

"Good deal" for ammo has turned to mean "in stock" lately, and even only for minutes at a time before it goes sold out if it's not outrageously expensive. I read an article yesterday saying the manufactures expect the shortage to last into the first quarter of next year, we'll see if things rebound that quickly.

Thanks for the heads up, and it's sad that this ammo will fly off the shelves at $.60/round. I guess it could be worse... I remember when it was $1/round if you could find it. Hopefully ammo will come back down again by next spring if things quiet down, but i'm not holding my breath. Luckily, like most of you guys, I restocked when factory 5.56 was $.28/round :cool:

Yeah that makes sense, and is a good rule imo I think $0.52 and $0.55 for 5.56mm is high priced because of panic, not because of opportunism. I've never had any problems with Natchez, and if they're not the cheapest place to buy from, they're at lease consistent and don't seem like they're trying to rip anybody off.

I told him about a Ruger I saw at CDNN, but is there anything better he could do with those numbers in the current market? He can handle buying separate URG/assembled lower, but I don't think he has the tools or inclination for full-on self-build yet.

Thanks--there was an M&P Sport II in the same range I suggested also, but the Ruger was a 1/8 twist while S&W was only 1/9.
I have a couple PSA rifles, and they've been great. Hard abuse, and zero issues. Seems like their QC is a little better these days, and i think they are good for a budget rifle.

Just ask the vendor to yank the magazine and ship the rifle without one, it's been my experience that most will accomodate (if they can), and I've done business with Locked and Loaded before so suspect they will. As far as the $, ofc not everybody has unlimited funds, but you've heard the argument before. If it were me I'd start checking the cushions of the couch for loose change, or beg/borrow/no stealing for the extra few hundred bucks.

EDIT: That was just painful to watch. When his buddy put a red dot on the rifle so, you know, he could actually see what he was "aiming" for, he shot it with the caps closed. "Don't know why he wanted to put this red dot on here." SMH. I couldn't watch anymore when he called the M-Lok handguard "skeletonized" because he didn't know they were M-Lok slots... Wow.

I'm not a fan of Boatch for a variety of reasons, but by checking the stock of inventory things seem to be available. In this case, I ordered the ROK 2 point sling for $5 each, but only because they showed well over 1500 in stock. The slings came in a few days, and are a very functional basic sling. The elastic is NOT going to provide much give, so if you want a bungee sling this isn't a good choice. HOWEVER, if you don't like much play in your sling, I believe it is worth while.
I'm also going to post links to a few of the other dirt cheap sling they currently have.

Just to hazard a guess, I'd say about 20 pounds. A loaded mag is about 1lb, just under 17 mags worth per 500 rds, and give the box 2 pounds.

Not sure they are screaming deals, but I like their 1-4x. The illuminated portion isn’t as cool as the PST 1-4’s TMCQ, but more than just a dot. They do have some ranging markers within the mil-quad reticle, with is cool for someone like me who really doesn’t have much scoped experience.
