Handing out Halloween cheer and multiple groups have come up dressed in all black. I finally asked What are you supposed to be? and kid responds 'we're anti fascists'.
Kids today.

Are you sure?

That's Breitbart material it is.

Do you own a whiffle ball bat?
I mean you could dress up too and have a game about anti-fa and the white nationalists.

Tell them you are also anti fascist and since they have more candy than you, you want some of their candy. It's the socialist way.

Lol at everyone's responses.
I'm not sure these kids would've even known what 'anti' meant let alone 'fascist'.
They were teen age, you know the age where you just put on hobo looking clothes from the family laundry and then you run around all night messing around.

Nice!

Just deal with the little trick or treaters the way I do. I don't feed our two German Shepherds the two day before Halloween, then I tie them up out front. They really love fresh candy and kids....especially when hungry. Other then a few barking dogs, Halloweens quiet and quite relaxing.

YMMV, NYH1.

I’m not sure what’s more disturbing. Kids dressing up as domestic terrorists or teenagers not knowing what “anti” or “fascist” mean. Guess it’s a which came first the chicken or egg type discussion.

Man, what a buzzkill.

Mine answered the door with me, sat as I handed out candy, waited until I closed the screen door then barked as the kids walked away. No coaxing other than my words for sit and stay, the barking thing was his own idea.

Since I'm rambling, Saturday night at about 11:30 I happened to look up as he came to me with a brand new bottle of Naproxen, which had been sitting next to my chair. He'd chewed it open. Kenneled him and woke the wife up. We found 396 of 400 tablets.

I took him to our 24 hour emergency vet only to find they are not 24 hours any longer. Back home and began shoving hydrogen peroxide into him. He never growled at me but he was not in the least bit cooperative. Still a pup, but 75+ pounds. I didn't have any tubing to fit on the end of my marinating syringe and the wife wouldn't let me grab his lower jaw and use a turkey baster, so we effed around with small syringes - according to her 10 doses equaled 5 tablespoons. We were on dose 14 before he let go in a spectacular fashion. I think he emptied out stuff from a week ago.

He's okay, but he was pretty stand offish Sunday morning, short memory, though, he was back to being my buddy by the afternoon.

Zing! For the win . . .

Don't know about the OP, but that is easier said than done as they are resettling it's inhabitants to the burbs. Google Obam's war on suburbia.

You know that may be true, but his policies live on along with his appointments to the judiciary.
A single election and even eight year term is meaningless. Clearing the SCOTUS of liberals might take twelve years. Clearing the 9th perhaps longer.
Obama may be gone, but we are still dealing with Clinton's appointments, so overnight change is a myth.
Yeah, it might be nice, but it would appear that Trump got left with a handful of shit, I've not seen anything like this since LBJ did a cut and run.

Where did I say that Obama is POTUS?

Why are leftists still implementing this agenda almost a year after he left office?

Wow glad he's ok.

Ours aren't aggressive at all, protective and scary looking, but not aggressive. Our little one is going to be 5 in Jan. he's about 85 lbs. Our big one is a monster, he's going to be 4 this month, he's 120 lbs. stands about 30" at the shoulder and takes up a little over 2/3 of the couch when he lays on it. I didn't know GSD's could get this big....he's HUGE and loves little kids. Problem is we don't have any!

This is my first GSD. I've raised Boxers, had Labs, as well as mutts, and grown attached to them all, but this is the first dog that I wouldn't feel silly saying I love him.

I try to work with him about an hour a day, get him to the dog park to play with other dogs a couple times each week, and generally just let him hang with me. I've basically turned into one of those old dudes who takes his dog with him everyplace he can.

He has his spot on the couch upstairs, he gets antsy if someone else sets there. He will bark/whine at my daughter if she sits there, with the wife and me, you can just tell he wishes we'd get out of his spot.

I've always thought boxers were smart, this guy is a rocket scientist compared to any boxer I've had.

LBJ hasn't been president for a LONG TIME but a lot of his socialist policies are still in place and we are still funding them. FDR hasn't been president for a LONG TIME but his Social Security ponzi scheme is still in place.

These are our first GSD's as well. We always had Labs. We also have a Chocolate Lab too. He's a big boy too, over 100 lbs. all muscle, be 5 in Feb. The little GSD is actually our daughters, we've had him for 3 years now. Him, my GSD Gunz and Colt the Lab are like brothers. They'll never be able to be broken up.

GSD's are a different kind of dog as you mention. They're smart, loyal, aloof, protective, curious, lovable, can be a little stubborn and possessive. They like their people and don't like strangers.

96 lbs. is pretty big. Our vet kept telling us Gunz (big one) was going to get bigger then Colt (our Lab). I thought he was crazy. We've had some pretty big Labs, big blocky heads, chests like a bucking bull, legs like Arnold....but a GSD bigger then one of them....

Yes it is, I had to get her a chest harness and a special control leash (iirc traffic leash) to walk her other wise she'd probably get away from me when she bolted for other dogs. She has an INTENSE predator drive.

She also does not like strangers lol.

We've been there ourselves my friend. Dogs are a big part of a family....especially when it's the type of dog that'll look after the family! ;)
