I got to thinking and I was just curious if anyone makes a jig that makes it easier to cut a flared magwell for an AR. The Anderson lowers don't have a flared magwell, and it would be a nice addition.

What about it? As far as I'm aware it doesn't significantly affect hardness. Not worried about corrosion?

Post a pic of the mag well. I've only seen one Anderson lower and I thought it had a normal bevel.

From what I have seen they have the typical forged lower bevel. If you want a big hole whore go billet.

Arredondo makes a bolt on flared mag well for 3gunners using ar’s......not real Tactical tho

IIRC the West Coast USN EOD guys who ordered the Vltor CASV used it on their Mk 18's. I thought about putting it on the PDW I'm building based on their spec, but decided the weight and bulk would be detrimental to my Discreet Carry application.

The Arredondo was fairly popular in the Army. A lot of my Ranger buddies bought them for their M4s.

The Lancer magwell is another option, albeit a little pricey.
