Current firearms promotions/rebates

Bought a Beretta APX recently (although I haven't had the chance to take it to the range yet) and applied for their promo. Arrived the other day and consists of three 17-round mags and an APX holster, which is advertised as being around $155 in free stuff (shipping was also included).

I've seen several of these type promos lately. A sign of the times in the firearms industry?

I've bought a lot of stuff on rebate recently. I got a Walther PPQ, a Beretta Nano, Taurus model 85, a whole bunch of cases of ammo and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Remington RP9. None of which was even on my radar prior to finding out about the rebates. I'm not even sure why at this point. I'm a sucker for a good deal I guess. I may have a problem.
