I had actually ordered a SBR one for about 1200$ a few years back, that turned into a fiasco with Botach shipping a 16” version, delaying the return shipping label, than needing to renew their FFL, then needing an interaction with my credit card company month later to get my refund. I had not interest in the 16” gun at the regular price.
I would not have driven over an hour to an Academy just for the rifle,
But it was just a little out of the way after dropping my mother off at an airport.

I understood that VA checks go thru VSP which performs the same checks as FBI. A quick search shows numbers reported to NICS from VA. So I looks like I was off in the earlier post.

Here in GA the background check I passed for my Georgia Weapons Carry License carries over to gun purchases/transfers at FFL's for as long as that GWCL is valid. So, no federal background check at the precise moment of picking up a gun.

Sadly, that sounds about like Botach... everyone I know who's dealt with them has been either Big Hit or Big Miss with little in-between. As an underpaid, underemployed freelance historian I can't afford to be putting this game's kind of coin into those kinds of gambles...

I'm one of those weird people that a stock OEM GLOCK fits my hand like a glove and I've never been hosed by Botach.
I don't buy regularly from them but place a big mag order from them every now and then when they have smoking prices. Been picking up my Lancer 7.62 mags there as they beat everyone else and have had zero complications.
