NBC 4 in Ohio reporting on the devastation to a watermelon with an AR15. Talk about fake news and they vote, how sad!

Except they’re using a shotgun...
Hey, it was enough to sell Curtis Lemay on the AR15!

Heck, my son grows watermelons for us to shoot. Hornady 55 grain Urban TAP does a spectacular job on them.

A loooong time ago, back when US-made plinking .223 ammo was somewhere between 20 and 25 cents/rd at any retail store, one hit from a Rem/UMC 55gr FMJ made the watermelon "moosh" (for you DOOM/DOOMII players) with no significant chunks remaining to be found anywhere. Not even M193 ammo, just a cheap plinking round.
NBC, the same aholes who brought us exploding Chevy pickups in the late 80s/early 90s. Been in the fake news game for quite some time now.
news. Recording your drunk neighbor as a gun demonstration.
That’s the best they can muster.
How the **** do they have jobs?

Want something fun at the range? A simple water bottle, empty at about 100 yards or so, give or take about 20, with the same .223 55gr plinking stuff. Get the bottle behind some minor concealment, like light grass, and if you can hit the grass or barrier before the bottle it will tear the bottle apart. I am talking chunks filing everywhere. It is ****ing AWESOME to watch through a scope. Instant giggles!. Lol.
Would anyone feel better if he ran up on that watermelon and cut it with a chainsaw and then danced around flailing said chainsaw in a macabre dance of dementia and bloodlust?
Because I would.

I still prefer cantaloupes, more of a realistic head size.

We took a Halloween Cantaloupe and filled it with water and it made the most impressive explosion. It was epic.
