why doesn't someone (namely law) make an integrated folder into the receiver extension dogleg? With the understanding the lower would likely need to be steel and that would add weight, but it wouldn't be a ton.

I'll try to for him. He wants a lower receiver with a built in hinge like the LAW adapter and believes it will have to be made of steel.

Probably because LAW isn't a firearms manufacturer. And they don't think it's worth inviting the man into their lives for a few hundred sold units.

It is a hobbiest grade item for low-end users to fiddle **** with.
