USS Cole

It's been eight years now since the attack against the USS Cole in Yemen that killed 17 Sailors.

Just thought I would bring that up.

That's right. I remember 9-11-01 thinking, hm, it's one year minus one month and one day since the Cole, wonder what's going to happen 08-10-02. Nothing did.

We don't have many friends in Yemen.... then or now.

Amazing to think that only 8 years ago a raft with militants disguised as civilians with concealed cargo would even have been able to get near such a vessel in that area, let alone up against it.

That's not a knock on the crew of the USS Cole, just a knock on where humanity has gone. Another result of the despicable, fanatic mentality of some that have changed the world forever.
